End mills for slotting, ramping, side milling and plunging
The Silmax Universal Line end mills are a premium product, undergoing a continuous optimisation of base materials, flute geometries, cutting-surface quality and PVD coatings. They are suited to slotting, ramping, side milling and plunging. They are available with different numbers of flutes, (2, 3, 4, 6 and 8) and with diameters from D 0.1 to D 25mm.
Multi-material
The Silmax Universal end mills are specifically built to machine steel, cast irons and stainless steel. These tools are also designed to machine a wide range of low- and high-alloy steels.
Multi-application
Their versatility allows their use in several applications, from roughing to finishing and even in the advanced trochoidal, ramp milling and 3D-copying technologies.
PVD Coating
Like almost all tools manufactured by Silmax, the Universal line end mills can be coated with Bainit® Alcrona Pro, which is a highly wear-resistant coating, offering excellent levels of hot hardness and thermal-shock stability. Alcrona Pro guarantees excellent results in dry machining and at high cutting speeds.
