High performance tools

The Silmax high-performance, solid carbide drills represent a well-performing and reliable solution for a wide spectrum of applications, materials and diversified working conditions.

The high-performance line includes microdrilling, as well as standard drilling tool ranges, available in different lengths 3XD, 5XD, 8XD, with and without internal lubrication holes.

Optimization

The different lines are optimised in different technological aspects determining their primary features according to the use for which they have been designed:

  • shaped grooves for an optimal chip formation and removal
  • front sharpening to ensure drilling stability
  • honing of the cutting edge to prevent cracks and extend tool life
  • finishing of surfaces to guarantee higher-level smooth machining.
