SILMAX PFERD: precision, technology and environmental awareness.

Together with our partner @Circa72, SILMAX PFERD in January, had launched an innovative project under the European GreenSME initiative, with the aim of developing more sustainable packaging and contributing to the ecological transition of the manufacturing sector.

The result? A 42 percent reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to traditional virgin polypropylene packaging. The new tool box packaging, made from 90% recycled cardboard, represents a concrete and replicable eco-design choice: less plastic, more renewable, biodegradable and low-impact materials.

The use of post-consumer and post-industrial fibers not only reduces landfill pressure but also allows for lower energy consumption during production. Full details of the comparative environmental impact analysis are available in the downloadable document at this link.

This project marks a new step forward in Silmax’s operational sustainability journey, demonstrating how innovation and respect for the environment can go hand in hand, even in the field of technical-industrial packaging.
