A new coating for machining Stainless Steels and Superalloys.

In 2009 SILMAX completed the Colourmill line with the new X-Hyper coating.

This PVD AlTiN based coating has been developed for high chip removal at medium cutting speed. Low internal stresses and extremely high oxidation temperature are the key properties of the coating, giving superior performances in superalloys and stainless steels machining.

Several tests at the R&D department confirmed the increased tool life.
